Chabad Ashkelon was honored to give fellow resident of Ashkelon, and member of Knesset, Mrs. Marina Solodkin a tour of our activities and institutions. The tour included: Or Chaya Girls' School, our special education kindergarten and our soup kitcen operated by Eshel Ashkelon.

MK Solodkin expressed her amazement at the scope and depth of Chabad Ashkelon's activities. To the girls of Or Chaya she relayed the days when she lived in the Former Soviet Union and how emissaries of the Rebbe fearlessly would journey behind the Iron Curtain to give her family and other Jews Torah lessons. MK Solodkin conveyed to the girls the importance of Torah education and gave her thanks to Chabad for their involvement in her own Jewish education.
